Jason loves his nudibranchs, but I’ve been struck by the general diversity of sea creatures I’ve never seen before, and the incredibly relaxed nature of the turtles here. We’ve seen mandarin gobies (the rainbow colored little guys), massive chilled out turtles, cute little box fish, frog fish of various colors and sizes (weird looking green mossy skinned fish), saddleback anemone fish, sea horses and more. Here are some of my faves so far:
Tomorrow we dive the fabled Sipadan. It’s turning out to be a logistical nightmare with 5 hours of travel to get to an island that’s 15 minutes away, but that’s another story for another day. Suffice it to say it all goes back to the sheisty information and booking people at Sipadan.com, who don’t actually own permits to dive Sipadan. Regardless of all that, we hear it’s amazing, so we’re really looking forward to it—the part after the completely useless 5 hours of boat rides, that is.

While I admire all the beautiful sea life you’ve captured… I think the only thing I’d be comfortable swimming with is the turtles. ha!
You know how I am about sea life… out of sight out of mind! =)
They’re awesome Jenny! You’d get over it pretty quickly I think. No sharks! Well, only a few little ones…
My fav is cuttlefish 🙂
